Three Thanksgiving DIY projects
Looking for some easy, inexpensive do-it-yourself projects to get into the Thanksgiving spirit? Try one of these projects.
Paper pumpkins
What you need:
Orange, white and green paper
Scissors
Hot glue gun

Thanksgiving Wreath
What you need:
Wreath
Scrabble tiles
Fake leaves
Ribbon

Mason jar
Candle
Twigs

Paper pumpkins
What you need:
Orange, white and green paper
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Instructions:
- Trace a design for the pumpkin and leaf or find some online. The pumpkin looks like a six petal flower with circles on the top. Cut them out.
- Trace the pumpkin design onto the orange and white paper. Cut it out.
- Hot glue the circles together. This will make a pumpkin.
- Roll green paper and cut it to the desired length of a stem.
- Trace the leaf onto green paper. Cut it out.
- Hot glue the leaf onto the top of the pumpkin.
- Hot glue the stem on top of the leaf.
- Decorate your desk or table with the pumpkins.
Thanksgiving Wreath
What you need:
Wreath
Scrabble tiles
Fake leaves
Ribbon
Hot glue gun
Instructions:
- Hot glue ribbon onto the wreath so you can hang it.
- Hot glue fake leaves onto the wreath.
- Use the scrabble tiles to spell out a Thanksgiving phrase, like “season of giving.” If you’re lazy or don’t have tiles that spell out the word, just flip the tiles over and write on the tiles with sharpie.
- Hang up your wreath using a nail.
Twig Candle
What you need:
Mason jar
Candle
Twigs
Hot glue gun
Ribbon
Instructions:
- Put the candle in the mason jar.
- Break twigs so they are all roughly the same height. Make sure they cover the whole mason jar.
- Hot glue the twigs to the jar.
- Tie a ribbon around the jar.
- Light and enjoy the rustic look of your candle. This decoration can last all year.
